ROMFORD TOWN FLYERS FC PLAYER SPONSORSHIP AGREEMENT

 

This Sponsorship Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into for the season 2024-2025 by and between:

1. Sponsor

2. Romford Town Flyers Football Club

 

WHEREAS:

• The Sponsor desires to promote its brand, products, and/or services through a sponsorship arrangement involving a specific player within the Soccer Club; and

• The Club agrees to facilitate the sponsorship and provide promotional opportunities as outlined in this Agreement.

 

The parties agree as follows:

 

Sponsorship Term

 

This Agreement shall commence on the date of sponsorship payment completion and end on the last competitive game of the season, unless terminated earlier under the terms of this Agreement.

 

Sponsorship Fee

 

The Sponsor agrees to provide the Club with:

• A payment of GBP 250 lump sump for the term of this Agreement.

• Additional benefits, if applicable.

 

Payment shall be made in full upon verbal or written agreement to become a sponsor.

 

Club Obligations

 

The Club agrees to:

1. Ensure the sponsored player, represents the Sponsor’s brand by:

• Wearing branded gear or merchandise provided by the Sponsor during games, training sessions, or events (as permitted by league regulations).

• Participating in Sponsor promotional events or campaigns, as per sponsor request which should be submitted no later than 14 days in advance.

2. Display the Sponsor’s logo on:

• Training gear

3. Include Sponsor branding in social media posts and website 

 

Sponsor Rights

 

The Sponsor shall have the right to:

1. Use the Club’s name, logo, and the sponsored player’s likeness for marketing and promotional purposes, subject to prior approval by the Club.

2. Access [VIP passes, match tickets, hospitality privileges, etc.] as outlined in this Agreement.

 

Player-Specific Provisions

1. The Club shall ensure that the sponsored player adheres to the Sponsor’s reasonable promotional expectations, provided they do not conflict with the player’s professional commitments or league rules.

2. The Sponsor acknowledges that the player remains an employee/contractor of the Club and is subject to the Club’s regulations and obligations.

 

Termination

 

This Agreement may be terminated:

1. By mutual consent of both parties.

2. By either party, if the other party breaches any material term of this Agreement and fails to remedy such breach within 60 days of receiving written notice.

Upon early termination, there shall not be any sponsorship refund applicable nor issued under any circumstances, including but not limited to: 

1. The club dismissing the sponsored player during the sponsorship period*

2. The sponsored player breaching any terms and conditions of this or any other relevant agreement 

3. The sponsored player voluntarily or involuntarily departing from the club during the sponsorship period

*The club shall consider a partial sponsorship refund in the event of a player dismissal based on sponsored player's performance. There shall be no refund issued in the event of player dismissal under any other circumstances, including but not limited to: player miss-conduct, short or long-term injury or similar.

Indemnification

 

Each party agrees to hold harmless the other party from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from their obligations under this Agreement.

 

Governing Law

 

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of United Kingdom. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of United Kingdom.

 

Entire Agreement

 

This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the parties and supersedes any prior agreements or understandings, whether written or oral.
